I used to love Saturday morning conversations with my dad, he's funny and very smart. He has taught me a lot throughout our chats.
Today's coffee and conversation with my dad went like this:
"We should have a family dinner this week, that is if I don't leave your mother by then."
"What? What do you mean leave my mother?"
"Just like you kids, nobody in this family likes me anymore."
"That isn't true, Dad."
"There is no better time than now, we've raised you guys, and we have two houses, there is nothing left for us to do anymore."
"You loved each other before you had us, you can still love each other now, can't you?"
"Did we? It doesn't matter anyway."
"Shouldn't it matter? She's your wife, and you love her."
"No, so are you going to shampoo the carpets in your office this weekend or sometime this week?"
"Yah, I could."
...
Epic.
At the craft fair I saw I sign that said, "Family is Forever" I should have corrected them.
I feel kind of alone.
