Today I learned:

Brains are in fact better than looks - At Tags I debated the cashier on why I should get the Science magazine for a lesser price and won! $7.99 was now $4.99!

The Giant short-faced bear (arctodus simus) is the largest mammalian carnivore weighing in around 2,400 pounds on average. Too bad they are extinct. (And I thought I was heavy..!)

Airplanes are in fact safe. According to statistics I have a better chance at dying on my way to or from the airport. Thanks socks because in a few short months I have to get on a few and cross water. Yikes

The most important life lesson I learned today was how crucial it is to think before you speak. This applies in every form of communication whether it is ordering coffee or telling a story! Thinking is important and most people don't do it enough, period.
