Let's be realistic

I'm still angry about this change your picture to a cartoon to change the world thing. I just read a person's comment saying that they didn't know why everyone had cartoon characters but they were doing it anyway because it was fun... wow

I can tell you that if you are going to hit your child, the last thing you are going to think about is all of the people on facebook with carebare photos...

As a person who, for no reason, was more than frequently hit, pushed around, berated, and left broken, battered and alone as a child, this angers and frustrates me. I'd need more hands than I have friends to count the times the police were at our house, the nights my dad spent in jail because he was out of control, the times I was woken up by my drunken father hitting my mother for unknown reasons in the kitchen, for the times social services visited our house, for the bruises and things I had to make up excuses for. Your photo of papa smurf disgusts and insults me!

There is a root, a cause, a reason people act they way they do. Solve the problem. Find the cause. Changing your picture will do nothing. You can't stand up for anyone by sitting on a computer chair hiding behind your screen. What would have been a greater help rather than the photo would be a friend to talk to, a person to turn to. I needed help, not the thought that papa smurf might someday make my dad stop hitting me. What a joke. It's disgusting and you're weak for following along with the crowd. FYI, My dad can't figure out the difference between double-clicking and just clicking...

Don't be a sheep; use your brain. End of rant.
