learn

My Gramms always used to tell me "Never turn down an opportunity to learn new things." She was onto something there.

Today I was offered a tour in one of the local recycling plants. It was amazing; so many cool things happen behind the counter. I am lucky enough to personally know the owner so I got to see how they crush the glass bottles and compact the cans into tiny cubes. Machines are so cool. (Can you say Tomboy?)

I was most blown away by the glass crushing part... this is all so new to me! Who knew empty gin bottles could be so beautiful? I spent over an hour witnessing the life of a bottle, watching it get sorted by color then crushed into tiny bits. You would think the end product would be sharp little jagged pieces but in fact they were roundish and rather smooth.

Recycling is so cool.

I am inspired. I love discovering.
